Ember is operated by SM Digital Ventures (Pty) Ltd in South Africa and is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and provide an eligible date of birth to complete your profile. Identity verification is separate and optional for ordinary dating access. One account per person.
Do not use Ember for harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, fraud, scams, exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, unlawful activity, sexual-services solicitation, escort marketplace activity, or compensated sexual arrangements. Child sexual abuse or exploitation material and conduct, and any underage use, are strictly prohibited. See our Child Safety Standards.
Eligible members may choose identity verification. Payment does not award verification, and a blue tick appears only after a successful Ember identity check. It does not guarantee safety, intentions or conduct.
New profile photos may be held from other members while moderation checks run. Members can report or block others. Ember may review relevant content and take proportionate account action, but a report does not automatically result in suspension or removal.
Ember Basic is free. Gold is planned at R49 per week recurring and Premium at R170 per month recurring. Paid Boosts are planned as one Gold Boost for R12 and a two-Boost Premium pack for R20. Google Play purchasing is not currently active; purchase processing will begin when Ember launches with Google Play Billing. Existing vouchers and promotional entitlements do not renew or charge automatically. Final purchase, cancellation and refund terms will be published when billing launches.
You may delete your account in Settings or from the Delete Account page in any web browser. Deletion is permanent and immediate: the purge removes the account and associated member data, and signing back in does not restore it. You may instead take a break, which hides your profile while keeping everything for your return. Limited non-identifying operational records may remain as explained in the Privacy Policy. Ember may restrict or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Ember is provided "as is" without guarantees of identity, safety, compatibility, matches or successful dates. Use care when meeting: choose a public place, tell someone you trust, and use reporting and blocking controls when needed.
