Optional identity verification on Ember

Ember is an adult dating app. Members can discover people, match and chat without completing identity verification, provided they meet the app's other eligibility requirements.

What “verified” actually means on Ember

Eligible Gold and Premium members can choose to complete Ember's identity-check process. A blue tick appears only after a successful check. Payment does not award the tick, and approved Basic members who completed verification previously may keep it.

What a blue tick means

• The member successfully completed Ember's identity-verification process.
• The identity documents remain private and are not displayed on the profile.
• The tick cannot be purchased and is separate from membership and Loyal status.
• It does not guarantee safety, intentions, conduct or compatibility.

Dating access remains available

Ember Basic includes Discover, ordinary Likes, matches, messaging and Date Ideas. Basic members cannot start a new identity check, but they can keep using ordinary dating access without one.

Use every safety tool available

Verification is one trust signal, not a substitute for judgment. Use blocking and reporting controls, meet in public, and never send money to someone you have only met online.
